meanings

[sel-uh]
Origin: Hebrew
Definition(s): to pause, listen, breathe, reflect, meditate
“He leads me beside quiet waters; He refreshes my soul”
Psalm 23:2-3
Amidst the noise of the outside world and the loud screams of my mind, writing has always been my breath of fresh air, a selah moment that is essential for me to ink out all that is within, in this safe space I created and welcome new beginnings.
the semicolon
In grammatical terms, the semicolon is a punctuation mark used to connect two separate but related clauses. It indicates that the first sentence could have ended but continues.
In the past years, the semicolon was used in suicide awareness and mental health campaigns, becoming an emblem of hope and strength to those who have been struggling and wanting to give up, but bravely chose to fight.
The existence of hardships and battles in life is indubitable, and yet sometimes the only choice we have is to face them anyway. Personally, I clung to this symbol to remind myself that regardless of what may come, I will choose to live. After that comes the next story.

Selah (pause) + Semicolon (continue)
In summation, this blog is a museum of collected thoughts and reveries mused by the pauses and interludes of my life. These reflections traverse me into a deeper understanding of what is life. As I reconnect with the Creator and Author of my life, I gain knowledge of my truest identity, peace to embrace what is to come, and courage to continue despite the vast uncertainty. My desire is to share this experience through writing and inspire as many indeed, to always take a step forward and find love and happiness along the way.
