My dearest self,
I know life has been really tough lately. There were days when keeping your sanity was quite a bit of a challenge. But as you go through and towards more unexpected circumstances, may you never lose hope. I know you are tired, but I want to remind you that you don’t have to do this alone. You may face different kinds of storms now but don’t lose heart. God didn’t promise us a storm-free life, but He promised to be with us through the storm.
God is present in all seasons of your life. I know sometimes you don’t feel Him, or it may seem like He is not hearing your prayers, but God is always on your side. He sees the depths of your heart and He knows what breaks you and makes you cry every night. He hears you, and if He is not responding, it doesn’t mean that He doesn’t care. As a matter of fact, when God is silent, He is busy working something out for you. He will carry you through all this.
God has given you a word — a promise to hold on to. Believe with all your heart that at the right time, He will make it happen. And in your waiting season, God allows you to go through struggles and testings to develop your faith and endure the process with patience. So, as you wait for the fulfillment of the promise, fuel your hope with prayers and positive declarations that will increase your faith and confidence in the Lord. Learn to filter the thoughts in your mind. Don’t meditate or entertain the thoughts that are not helping you and are just meant to hurt you. Learn to stay away from anything that will poison your soul or destroy your inner peace. The enemy’s counterattack to your faith is deception. He will do all his efforts to put lies in your mind so you would doubt the promise of God in your life. He will target your weakness and use your trauma or anything that could discourage you and make you lose faith in the Lord.
The enemy knows you, too. He knows what discourages you, what makes you afraid, and what hurts you the most. He will use all these and put mental images in your mind to distract you. He wants you to keep staring at the past because he doesn’t want you to see your future. He knows that a beautiful life is waiting for you at the end, so he will do everything to keep you from experiencing what God has prepared for you. Don’t be fooled by the enemy. You are stronger than you think. You can fight his lies. You can overcome because you are victorious. God is with you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Make it a habit to throw away or neglect any thought or feeling that is not aligned with the promise that God has given you. Don’t contradict your prayers with negative thoughts or words. If it’s not from God, don’t let it enter your heart. Don’t let it linger in your mind. Instead, be filled with the promises of God that bring peace, comfort, joy, strength, and courage.
Also, be mindful of your circle. Spend more time with people who will help you heal, grow, and mature. Just a friendly reminder that not every person you meet is a friend. Be wise enough to choose the ones who will stay in your life, and who were meant to leave to teach you a lesson. The people you connect with have a very important role in your life. They could either help you reach your future or drag you back to your past. Your environment is very essential for your growth and mental health.
Protect your peace. I know it hurts, but God says that pain is never an excuse to hurt others back. Instead, He teaches us to love our enemies. Always be kind. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for those who hurt or wronged you. It may be hard to forgive, but forgiveness is the key to a peaceful life. Rest in the knowledge that God cares for you so much, and He will work everything out for you. Don’t allow other people to steal your joy. Peace comes from knowing that God has your back no matter what. Just trust Him. Obey His instructions and you will always be safe and secure. Remember that all things work together for good to those who love Him. He will protect and guide you along the way. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Don’t stop praying. The Lord never sleeps.
Cast all your cares to the Father. Most of the time, the reason why you feel exhausted and overwhelmed by the mess around you is because you try to take control of your situation, when it is only God who is able to turn things around. Allow God to take full control of your life. Learn to rely on Him in everything and submit to His process. And when you give it all to God, stop monitoring things around. You might think that what you’re praying for is impossible to happen. You might think that there’s no possible solution but God is the God of the impossible. Just wait and see Him move. He is full of surprises. No matter how long it will take, you have been assured from the start that He will make it happen, more than you can ever think or imagine. Not one of God’s promises will ever fail.
God loves you so much. You may not see or feel it yet, but soon you will realize that He has written the most beautiful story ever told — that is, your life. You are His masterpiece, so submit to the hands of your Creator for He knows what’s good for you, and what’s not. His plan is always the best. Prepare your heart, for in the coming days you might not contain the overflowing joy and gratitude from realizing that God had it all planned out for your good. ♡
Have a good night sleep. Here’s a song for you tonight. 🙂
