As a very sentimental person, I have found favor in embracing the undeniable existence of change. For the many years that have gone by, I learned to take a step forward to the open waters of the unknown holding on tight to the courage that was gifted to me, along with the anticipation of some inevitable things.
I grew fonder and fonder with the little and much more the big surprises of life, hovering into the never ending question of what is next. The answer is yet to be discovered.
By all means, I persuaded myself to accept the challenge: Not to question anything that is being handed to me, and to taste every single experience with an open heart, teaching her to be prepared for the hundreds of emotions to be felt. Feel them all, I said.
All of life’s givings — the blacks and whites along with the gray area build up the excitement of being able to catch sight of every scenery and savor every season. After all, it is the uncertainty of life that honestly gives us the thrill.
Looking back at the crumbs we left behind, we would realize that much of those that led us to our most wonderful journey were (surprisingly) the frustrations and disappointments that we once cried for. All of it happened for a reason. How overwhelming it is to understand that the predicaments of life and the unforeseen plights have taken us to this ecstatic joyride – and once we get used to its bitter flavor, life’s encounters (and I mean in any form) taste sweeter and sweeter.
From the top of my lungs, I say, Life is amazing.
It’s because its Creator is.
Another year has passed, and another has come. Even if I do not know what lies before me for the next few days, months, and years, I vow to fully trust the One who wrote my story.
Amid the changing world, it is the permanence of God’s existence that gives me the confidence to face whatever, whenever. The understanding of the deep meaning of God’s love wrapped in His million promises has given me peace, unexplainable joy, and amazement that makes me humble myself in gratitude for all the things He has done.
Friends,
have a merry, favor-filled 2023.
